Brig in Bloom was formed in February 1998 to improve the appearance and environment of the parish of Dunbarney and to encourage home owners, shopkeepers and other business people to keep their premises tidy and attractive. 

We also aim to promote sponsorship of approved projects and to co-ordinate the efforts of different groups - all this in close co-operation with  Perth and Kinross Council.

We filled a donated boat with bedding plants and placed it at the bridge on entering the village. It became known as the Brig Bloomer and had an immediate impact,  along with hanging baskets and half barrels placed throughout the main street.  Since then two  horse carts, a seed barrow and numerous large containers have been added to the floral displays which enhance Bridge of Earn.
