beautifulPerth is a voluntary organisation dedicated to carrying out environmental improvements in Perth for the benefit of residents and tourists. Working in partnership with others, beautifulPerth  is supported by local businesses, voluntary and charity organisations, schools, Perth and Kinross Council and a great many volunteers.

In 1989, the local and national press proclaimed Perth as being a "Foul City not Fair City". This derogatory comment, whilst unwelcome, nevertheless prompted swift action and a community based working partnership between the private, public and voluntary sectors was formed to challenge this statement.

The initiative was initially named Take a Pride in Perth but later changed to Perth in Bloom. In 2007 the name changed again to beautifulPerth. In support of this community led initiative, Perth and Kinross District Council appointed a full-time Environmental Campaign Co-ordinator to encourage community participation and action in their local environment.

beautifulPerth has grown considerably since those early days and is now a very successful, award winning organisation as well as a recognised Scottish Charity.
