Kinross: Gateway Geese

This scheme – a dramatic stainless steel and copper sculpture of a skein of geese rising above a drystone wall  – will welcome visitors to Kinross as they leave the M90.

Works were delayed by the severe winter weather 2010/2011 but the first phase was completed in February 2011.

The sculpture is now in the final stages of completion and will be installed in spring 2011. It is being created by local artist and sculptor David Wilson.

The total project cost is around £34,000 and is funded by the Take a Pride in Perthshire Association, Kinross in Bloom, Perth & KInross Rural Initiatives, the Arthur & Margaret Thomson Trust and the Kinross-shire Fund.
