The Take a Pride in Perthshire Campaign's annual award programme gives a focus to everyone’s efforts to care for their local environment. An awards ceremony is held in Perth every September which recognises our members’ hard work and achievements.

Communities are assessed not only on their horticultural efforts, landscaping and planting initiatives and overall visual impact (although this is of course important) but also against a whole host of other objectives including sustainability, biodiversity, waste management, community participation (for example working with the local school, businesses and other voluntary organisations), littter control, general maintenance, media coverage and sponsorship.

Through their involvement with the Campaign, many groups have gone on to win awards not only within Scotland and nationwide in the Britain in Bloom campaign, but also internationally in, for example, the Entente Florale and other prestigious competitions.
