INFORMATION FOR MEMBER GROUPS

How to start a local project
Local 'bloom' groups have delivered some fantastic projects over the past two decades - have a look at our Case Studies (below) to see some recent examples. With our support even small or new groups can tackle ambitious projects that make a huge difference to your local community.  If your group is interested, we can provide you with valuable advice and support.

To get you started, we have produced a useful Project Development Guide (click on the title to open the document). It's a simple step-by-step guide that takes you through the process from initial thinking to project completion, and it draws on our experience of delivering successful projects with 'bloom' groups across P&K.

Email us (address at top of the page) if you are thinking about a project, even if you aren't sure about what is feasible - we'll put you in touch with our Project Development Advisor (PDA) who will be able to discuss your options. You can also read our Project Guidance Notes. And once you and the PDA are ready, fill in our Project Application Form and return it to the address on the form.

Case Studies
These Case Studies are based on the experiences of member groups who have successfully completed projects in their local communities. We hope these will help other groups understand how they can plan and deliver their own projects:

INFORMATION FOR NEW GROUPS OR VOLUNTEERS
If you would like to get involved with a local group in Perth & Kinross,  check our list of member groups to see if there is one in your area. If you would like to volunteer, contact us (details at the top of this page) and we will put you in touch with the group. If there isn't a group in your town or village, let us know if you would be interested in starting one up!

CAN YOU SUPPORT US IN OTHER WAYS?
We are a charity, and all of our member groups are run by volunteers. We deliver many projects that enhance the natural, social and cultural environment in Perth and Kinross. Some are ambitious, large scale projects, others involve enhancements to small areas - but they all need funding and/or support in kind. If you would like to support a project in cash or in kind (for instance by donating tools or equipment), please get in touch (contact details at top of the page).
